Nha Trang City People’s Committee has just issued a document on cancelling the Whale Worshipping Ceremony 2020 of Vinh Truong Ward (Nha Trang).
Accordingly, leader of Nha Trang City demanded that Vinh Truong Ward’s 2020 Whale Worshipping Ceremony be cancelled in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee on strengthening Covid-19 prevention and control measures in festival activities. Vinh Truong Ward People’s Committee has to inform and request the locals to follow the recommendations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Whale Worshipping Ceremony is a traditional folk festival of Vinh Truong Ward’s fishermen, which is often organized from lunar February 11 to 13.
