Many people in Cam Binh Commune respect a woman named Nguyen Thi Hoa who contributed to build two houses of compassion for the needy people. Every year, she offers two or three tons of rice to poor people with the total money of about VND150 million up to now. Nguyen Huu Dinh, a traditional medicine doctor in Tra Son Hamlet (Cam Phuoc Dong Commune), has provided free medical examination and treatment to the poor for 15 years; sponsored nine orphans and actively participated in charitable activities in the locality.

Ho Tan Cuong is a farmer who does business well in Cam Thanh Nam Commune. He has been commended and rewarded by Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee for his efforts and achievements in ten consecutive years. He also helped more than 10 households in the locality out of poverty.
Nguyen Ngoc Huy (Binh Ba Tay Hamlet, Cam Binh Commune) earns VND1.3 to 1.5 billion/year and has created stable jobs for 10 people with his model of commercial lobster farming; helped one household out of poverty; actively supported the local funds. Mau Trong, a Raglai person in Giai Phong Hamlet (Cam Phuoc Dong Commune), has invested and applied science and technologies in farming; therefore, the productivity of plants and animals has increased, bringing him about VND500 to 600 million/year.
In the past 20 years, the annual average rate of families recognized as cultural families in Cam Ranh City is 95%. Clubs were formed across the city and have operated effectively, contributing to improve the spiritual life of the locals. Many people donated land and money to build roads and build public welfare works. The models such as studious families, studious clans, and learning promotion community have been developed and replicated throughout the city.
