Many important projects
Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports has so far allocated VND1.1 billion to repair the head office of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe. The investment projects of sound and lighting systems for the provincial Traditional Art Theater, Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe, provincial Cultural and Cinema Center with a total capital of 9.9 billion VND are expected to be disbursed by the end of September. Besides, the province’s cultural sector has seven approved medium-term public investment projects, including the investment project to develop the provincial library into a digital and automated library; renovation and repair project of the province's Traditional Art Theater; construction projects of the provincial museum’s building and provincial art performance center; investment in the sound, lighting, and musical equipments of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe; renovation and repair of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe’s head office; and renovation of 25 monuments. The total cost to implement these projects is about VND602.6 billion.

All the seven projects are being implemented step by step, according to Nguyen Thanh Ha, director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Information. For instance, the investment project of the provincial library has completed the report on investment intention with a total budget of VND 43.6 billion, which is higher than the original plan. There is still no specific proposal for the construction project of the provincial art performance center because of the adjustment to the center’s position. The provincial Monument Conservation Center is working with units and localities to carry out surveys and evaluations for the renovation project of 25 monuments.
Some projects need adjustments and supplements
Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Information has recently proposed some adjustments to public investment cultural projects to the province’s leadership. Accordingly, the project of the provincial library needs more money for the repair and renovation of facilities. The investment project in the sound, lighting, and musical equipments of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe and construction project of the troupe’s head office were proposed to be merged into one project and to be implemented in 2021.
In addition, the department also proposed some other projects such as the project to embellish and promote the value of C235 Ship national monument; project to repair, renovate and purchase equipments for the provincial Department of Culture and Information; and the project to renovate and build the prefabricated exhibition house of the provincial museum.
The aforementioned investment projects are intended to improve the quality of activities and facilities of the cultural units in Khanh Hoa, helping these units to make more effective and practical contributions to the local socio-economic development as well as to meet the increasing demand for quality art shows of the locals and tourists.
