The Vietnam Women’s Union has just launched "Ao Dai Week" nationwide from March 1 to 8 in order to promote the history and values of Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) in the community. This is an activity to celebrate the success of the 13th National Party Congress and the 111th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 2010 - March 8, 2021).
Responding to "Ao Dai Week", Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union has propagated information and encouraged its female members, female officers and other women over the province to actively respond to the week with practical and appropriate activities at their work and places. The union will also promote the activities of "Ao Dai Week" on mass media and social networks.
In 2020, a series of activities namely "Ao Dai - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" were organized by Vietnam Women's Union and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, contributing to honor the values of Ao Dai and affirm that Ao Dai is an indispensable part of Vietnam's cultural heritages.
