The ongoing photo exhibition organized by Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature and Art at the provincial museum (16 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang City) gathers quality photos showcasing the beauty of nature and life in Khanh Hoa.
Diverse perspectives
The exhibition taking place from May 12 to 20 displays 62 art photos of 38 photographers, who are mainly the members of Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature and Art. The photos have different content and ways of presentation as well as reflect different perspectives of the photographers. The photographers tried to capture the moments of beautiful nature and life of the province. “Although the exhibition scale is not large, the photos on display have good artistic quality and rich content. Through the exhibited photos, I can contemplate the magnificence of nature and the idyllic beauty of labor,” said Nguyen Duc Thong (Xuong Huan Ward, Nha Trang).
The visitors to the exhibition can contemplate Khanh Hoa’s natural landscapes through the impressive artworks about competition of photographer Trinh Dung; season of bees looking for honey of Nguyen Dong; beauty of lotus season of Diep Vi Hoa; eyes of Nguyen Duy; Hon Chong beach of Tran Minh Ngoc; and new day in To Hap Town of Ho Trung Lam, etc. The beauty of people during work is shown through the photos namely Van Phong today of photographer Luu Thai Van Chuong; Ba Ha beach in early morning of Trinh Xuan Dao; break time of Thanh Lam; and frying anchovies of Pham Hung. The artworks about cultural beauty, although small in number, partly show some new perspectives of the photographers. Some outstanding photos in this subject are Ponagar Temple of Nguyen Hoi; taste of Tet in countryside of Ho Trung Lam, and street corner in spring of Tran Trung Hoa, etc.
As said by artistic photographer Tran Minh Ngoc, head of the Vietnam Artistic Photographers' Association in Khanh Hoa, the photo exhibition has relatively good artworks, which were created in the past five years. The exhibited photos are introduced to the public for the first time, so they help the viewers to take a fresh look at the subjects. However, the photographers focused on depicting the land of Khanh Hoa; therefore, there are overlaps of ideas in some photos.
Attracting many photographers outside Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature and Art
This photo exhibition attracts many photographers who are not the members of the provincial Association of Literature and Art. 13 out of 38 photographers taking part in the exhibition are outside the association. The works of these 13 photographers show the features of the creative style of each photographer, their passion and photography techniques. Photographers named Vu Duy Minh, Tran Anh Khoa, Nguyen Duy, Le Trung Hung, Thanh Lam, Pham Hung, and so on partly showed their creativeness and their taste in photography.
The exhibited photos reflect quite comprehensively the socioeconomic development and culture of Khanh Hoa today. Basically, the artworks well convey the theme about the beauty of Khanh Hoa, according to painter Tran Ha, chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature and Art. It is pity that the complicated development of COVID-19 pandemic has shrunk the scale of the exhibition as well as the number of visitors to the museum.
