Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee released a document on May 26 approving the postponement of the province’s series of cultural, art, tourism and sports events in 2021. The people’s committee directed the provincial Department of Culture and Sports to cooperate with related departments, sectors, and agencies to organize the cultural, tourist and sports activities in 2021 in accordance with the situations and the COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

Previously, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports sent a document to the provincial People's Committee proposing the postponement of the series of events "Nha Trang - Welcome Summer 2021" (originally planned to start on June 3) to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The events will be organized at an appropriate time in the future.
According to the plan issued by the provincial People's Committee on March 26, the series of events "Nha Trang - Welcome Summer 2021" includes 32 cultural and sports activities, such as art show about Nha Trang summer tourism, art show about Khanh Hoa’s folk culture, art show of ethnic groups in southern central and highland regions, and Bai Choi art show.
