The 2020 provincial Children's Fine Arts contest received more than 40,000 entries from the children in eight districts, towns and cities across the province. The organizers have selected 125 excellent works for gold, silver, bronze and consolation prizes. The awarding ceremony is expected to be held at an appropriate time in the future.
In addition, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports has cooperated with the provincial Department of Education and Training, and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to carry out the activities to prevent drowning in children and incorporate the information about children's accidents prevention and control into training classes or physical training sessions.
According to Nguyen Tuan Thanh, deputy director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, some cultural and art activities for children in the province did not take place as originally planned due to the complex COVID-19 evolution. Scales, ways of organization and schedules were changed to suit the situations. The organized activities partly showed the province’s concern for the spiritual life of children. In the future, the units under the department will try to hold book storytelling contest and cultural heritage learning contest for children.
The inspections have also been strengthened to limit the negative impacts from Internet cafés and gaming cafés. Videos and publications with bad content for children have also been closely checked by the authorities. All violations have been strictly handled. All aim to create a good environment for children.
