Practical encouragement
At the end of last October, under the authorization of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the provincial Association of Literature and Arts organized the awarding ceremony of the five-year Literature–Art Awards, period 2016-2020. 45 writers and artists of six fields, namely literature, fine arts, photography, theater, music, and folklore, were awarded six Prize A, 12 Prize B, 18 Prize C, and nine Consolation Prize.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee established the council committee of the provincial Literature-Art Awards, 1975-2000 period, in 2001. In that year, 32 writers and artists, who had contributed much to the province’s literature and arts, were honored with six Special Prize, six Prize A, 10 Prize B, and 11 Prize C. With the success of the 2001 awarding ceremony, the provincial Association of Literature and Arts proposed the provincial People’s Committee issue decision on the establishment of the annual Literature – Art Awards and five-year Literature – Art Awards.
Every year, about 20 writers and artists are given awards of literature and arts. The awarded works are the published ones with good content and high artistic values, effectively contributing to the development of economy, culture, society and security of the province and the nation as well as improving people's spiritual life.
Encouraging creativity
Every year, hundreds of works of the members of the provincial Association of Literature and Arts are published, exhibit, or introduced in different forms. Many of the works have won prizes at the domestic or international contests.
Khanh Hoa is among a few localities in the country organizing both annual Literature – Art Awards and five-year Literature – Art Awards. The annual Literature – Art Awards and five-year Literature – Art Awards are a source of encouragement for the creativity of the writers and artists in the province. Painter Bui Trung Chinh said through his works, he hopes to convey his thoughts and feelings to experts and painting lovers. “When my works are given prizes, I am greatly encouraged to continue pursuing my passion,” added Chinh.
The annual Literature – Art Awards and five-year Literature – Art Awards have been highly appreciated by the writers and artists in Khanh Hoa. The judging and voting process have been carefully implemented, helping to enhance the prestige of the awards.
