Khanh Hoa Provincial Center of Culture and Cinema is actively preparing for an exhibition about COVID-19 prevention and control which is planned to be held at the beach park near 2-4 Square (Nha Trang City) from December 12, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
The fourth COVID-19 wave has significantly affected all socio-economic aspects of Khanh Hoa Province. The whole political system and people at all levels in the province have showed solidarity and unity in the fight against the pandemic. Many memorial moments of the pandemic prevention and control activities in the province have been captured by the photographers and journalists. The provincial Department of Culture and Sport has assigned the provincial Center of Culture and Sports and related units to organize an exhibition on COVID-19 prevention and control and the socio-economic recovery and development in the province.
In order to have enough photos for the exhibition, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports sent documents to other provincial departments, sectors, and units over the province about collecting photos. After around 20 days, more than 700 photos were sent to the organization committee. The selection council selected 20 photos to be displayed.
The works selected for the exhibition revolve around five main themes: activities of the province’s leaderships; activities of medical staff and frontline forces to prevent and control the pandemic; life, production activities of people; relief work and example of good people and good deeds; and adapting and restoring socio-economic activities in the province.
According to painter Tran Ha, chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature and Art, the selected photos are outstanding in the way they express the themes, have good composition and techniques, and vibrant colors. Focusing on the themes about COVID-19, the exhibition doesn’t place much importance on the criteria for artistic elements.
Through the photos, the visitors to the exhibition can know more about the activities and directions of the central government’s and province’s leaderships; the work of doctors and health staff in the fight against the pandemic; help and support given to people in need during the pandemic; and the examples of good people who have contributed much to the pandemic prevention and control work.
In addition to 120 photos, the exhibition will display 30 propaganda paintings about COVID-19 prevention and control. The first exhibition about COVID-19 has attracted the attention of many people. The exhibited photos will feature memorable moments and will be precious source of photos.
