New services
The library has recently cooperated with some organizations and individuals to hold a book festival for children. The children’s reading room of the library was beautifully decorated with flowers, books and magazines. Within the framework of the festival, children and their parents enjoyed music performances; read numerous books and magazines for children; listened to interesting stories about books told by some prestigious writers, poets, and literature teachers; played games such as jigsaw puzzle. Besides, the children introduced their favorite books; told stories relating to books; and answered questions on different subjects. “Participating in the festival, I understand more about the values of books for pupils. I hope that there will be more activities like this so that more and more pupils will love reading,” said Thuy Linh, a 6th grader at Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School (Nha Trang City).

Besides paper publications, readers can read the online versions of the spring publications on the website: http://baoxuankhanhhoa.vuc.vn. Nearly 170 spring newspapers and magazines of numerous press agencies of the central, Ho Chi Minh City, and other localities across the country were digitalized to help people everywhere read the spring publications more easily. The website’s layout is user-friendly with an intuitive interface.
Continuing bringing books to readers
In recent years, the provincial Library has held many activities to attract pupils and students in order to bring books to readers and promote reading movement. In 2023, the library will continue to focus on implementing the project on investment and development o the provincial Library to turn the library into a digital one with an automated system; implementing the program on digital transformation of the library sector by 2025 with orientation to 2030 and the project on developing reading culture in the community in the period of 2021 - 2025 with orientation to 2030 in the province. Besides, the library will also improve the content and forms of organization of its activities.

According to Phan Thi Kim Hanh, deputy director in charge of Khanh Hoa Provincial Library, in the time to come, besides normal services, the library will cooperate with agencies and individuals to carry out many other activities; increase activities outside the library further, for example holding activities at schools to build reading movement and form reading habit among pupils.
In 2022, Khanh Hoa Provincial Library organized 13 thematic books launches on the occasion of major festivals and events of the country; circulated 2,900 copies of books to the localities in the province; built 9 new book service points in schools in the province, bringing the total number to 76 points; continued supporting district libraries in library management software. In addition, the unit added 3,213 books; opened French book space; issued and renewed 2,139 reading cards; served more than 84,400 direct readers and more than 148,700 online readers, etc.
