Towards impressive edition of Sea Festival 

Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival is going to take place after four years. With more than one month left, the departments and sectors of Khanh Hoa Province are actively carrying out the preparations for the 10 edition of the sea festival to ensure an impressive and safe festival. 

Including 60 activities 

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a decision on April 19 approving the program of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023. Accordingly, the sea festival takes place from June 3 to 6 with 60 activities taking place before the opening day and during the 4 days of the sea festival. In addition, 6 responding activities will carry out in June. Specifically, the activities taking place before the opening day include National Youth Aerobic Championship; Nha Trang international trade-tourism fair; postage stamp exhibition of Doctor A.Yersin with Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa; exhibition on typical cultural characteristics of ethnic minorities in the central highland region; performances of gong culture of the central highland region, “ma la” and Raglai folk dance; street food festival; exhibition on fine art and photography; basket boat paddling and swinging competition, basket swing; sea swimming tournament; unicorn-lion-dragon dance festival; Ao Dai festival; bicycle parade, etc.

During the sea festival, 4 main programs will take place at 2-4 Square (Nha Trang City). Besides, there are other activities such as exhibition on archival documents about the establishment and development of Khanh Hoa; art program about Khanh Hoa; Khanh Hoa fine art exhibition; art exhibition on Khanh Hoa’s salanganes nest industry; performances of Bai Choi and Tuong (Vietnams’ classical drama); Whale Worshipping Festival; and antique car parade.

Waiting for appealing performances

Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023 is the 10th edition of the sea festival and also the occasion marking the 20th anniversary of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival brand (2003 - 2023). Therefore, at the meeting with the leaderships of the provincial departments, agencies and sectors about the 4 main programs of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the 2023 Sea Festival need to be organized impressively, the main programs must have their own signatures and express bright to help raise the people’s spirit and motivation to develop Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.

The opening night of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023 consists of 2 parts, ceremony and theatrical art program, highlighting the potential in culture and history of Khanh Hoa. The program will be broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television Station and feature many famous Vietnamese artists. One of the highlight of the opening ceremony is the 20-minute drone light show.

April 4 night will feature an art show named “Khanh Hoa - Connecting love”. “Sound of Ocean” music festival taking place on June 5 will include performances of many music genres connecting traditional musical instruments and electronic instruments. The closing night of the Sea Festival 2023 takes place on the evening of June 6 with the participation of nearly 600 professional and amateur artists. 

With well-prepared and professionally-staged art programs, this year’s Sea Festival promises an appealing festival with diverse and colorful performances, helping to promote the images of the country and people of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa and attract tourists to Khanh Hoa, the land of aloeswood.
