Actively preparing for Sea Festival 2023

Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023 is going to take place on June 3-6 with nearly 70 activities. Khanh Hoa Province’s departments, sectors, localities, and businesses are actively preparing for the festival. The province’s authorities have also increased the popularization and promotion of Sea Festival 2023 at home and abroad.

The Provincial People's Committee, at the beginning of November 2022, issued a plan to popularize Sea Festival 2023 specifically and assigned responsibilities to units. The Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to introduce the 2023 Sea Festival in Hanoi on April 26, in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10 and Nha Trang City on May 27. Promotion videos of this year’s sea festival and documentary about the previous editions of sea festivals were also completed. The provincial Department of Information and Communications has sent these promotional videos and documentary to some television stations and press agencies for broadcasting. The department also promotes the 2023 Sea Festival on the official website of the festival at www.nhatrangfestival.vn and the websites and social media sites of the units and localities. The press agencies of the province are actively spreading information about the 2023 Sea Festival on online and paper newspapers, television, radio, and social medial sites.

In order to popularize and promote the 2023 Sea Festival, the provincial Department of Tourism has made QR codes for travel guidebooks, travel videos and slides introducing the responding activities sea festival; asked travel agencies and travel accommodations in the province to implement practical and suitable activities to introduce the sea festival to tourists. Through these activities, the department of tourism wishes to promote tourism and attract visitors to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa during the time the 2023 Sea Festival. The department sets a target of receiving around 100,000 domestic and foreign visitors.

In a recent meeting with leaders of local departments, sectors and localities on the preparation for Nha Trang–Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, Dinh Van Thieu, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, requested the related units to promote the popularization of the sea festival; proactively provide information and support press agencies to report on and produce programs about the 2023 Sea Festival.
