Dinh Van Thieu, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, on August 10 chaired a meeting with the leaderships of Vietnam Cinema Association; Vega City Joint Stock Company; and representatives of the provincial departments, sectors and localities on the organization of the 2023 Golden Kite Award.

This year's Golden Kite Award is jointly organized by Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, Vietnam Cinema Association and Vega City Joint Stock Company.
The event is scheduled to take place in Nha Trang City from September 1 to 9 with activities such as movie screenings at cinemas and 2-4 Square; culture-food-cinema festival in the area of Do Theater (Vinh Hoa Ward); flag-raising ceremony at dawn at 2-4 Square; cinema-music night live show; and drone light show.
The announcement and award ceremony, the main activity of the 2023 Golden Kite Award, takes place on the evening of September 9 at Do Theater with the participation of more than 530 delegates, including 300 artists. The ceremony will take place within nearly 100 minutes and is broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television.
The 2023 Golden Kite Award needs to be organized solemnly and meaningfully. Speaking at the meeting, Dinh Van Thieu requested that the organization committee of the 2023 Golden Kite Award develop a specific plan before August 18 so that the local units and localities can make plan for appropriate and effective cooperation and support. He also agreed on organizing other activities besides the award ceremony to promote the award and Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa more deeply, for example environmental protection for the artists.
