Performing art center provides more cultural and tourism services

With the newly upgraded Performing Art Center at 128 Hoang Van Thu Street (Nha Trang City), Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe has taken another step forward in promoting performing art activities and services and getting financial independence as planned.

After being renovated, the headquarters of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe has been upgraded to a performing art center, which basically meets the standards for organizing music and art activities, events and conferences. The center has a capacity of more than 300 seats, is equipped with new sound and lighting systems, and is decorated as a theater. Recently, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document agreeing to purchase LED screens and projectors for the Performing Art Center. With these investments, Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe can develop revenue-generating performance services.

The troupe has finished preparing a performing art program for foreign tourists. A tourism business has agreed to sign a contract with the troupe to serve tourists with performing art programs at the Performing Art Center. According to the project to use public assets submitted to the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the troupe will rent out the hall of the Performing Art Center to serve public art festivals, performing art programs for conferences and tourists on tours according to contracts. In addition, the troupe will promote the rental of sound and lighting systems as well as performing at conferences and art programs.

As said by Tran Duc Ha, head of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe, over the past years, the troupe has always received support from the province’s authorities. The Performing Art Center is a performing art venue that can be linked to the province's tourism activities; helps the troupe implement political tasks; improves the quality of the troupe’s performing art programs; meets the recreational needs of local people and international tourists in and outside the country.

Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe is a public service unit established in 1997 by merging Hai Dang Light Music Troupe with the Traditional Song and Dance Troupe. The troupe has the function of building art programs and organizing performance activities to serve political tasks and the public's recreational needs. The troupe has won many high awards at national and regional contests and festivals.
