Night art program at Ponagar Temple makes debut

Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports launched a special sightseeing program at Ponagar Temple national monument on December 27. Present at the event were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaderships of the provincial departments and sectors; representatives of associations and tourism businesses.

Within over 60 minutes of the program, the artists of Khanh Hoa Provincial Center of Monument Preservation and Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe performed art performances with Ponagar Temple as the backdrop.

During the event, the representatives offered incense and flowers to the Holy Mother; learned about the historical and cultural values and unique architecture of Ponagar Temple; saw art performances by the artists of Khanh Hoa Provincial Center of Monument Preservation and Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe; danced Cham dances; learned about the traditional musical instruments and brocade weaving techniques of Cham people; etc.

The special sightseeing program is intended for becoming a night tourism and cultural product at Ponagar Temple for tourists, contributing to the implementation of the night-time economic development project issued by the Provincial People's Committee.
