Commemoration of ancestor of aloeswood industry

Khanh Hoa Province’s Aloeswood Association held the commemoration of then ancestor of aloeswood industry on April 10 (lunar March 2). Over 100 members of the association and the leaders of some provincial departments and sectors offered incense to Thien Y A Na Holy Mother at Ponagar Temple (Nha Trang City) and at Am Chua national monument (Dien Khanh District).

During the commemoration, the attendees reviewed the tradition and history of aloeswood industry. Thien Y A Na Holy Mother was believed to the ancestor of the aloeswood industry. Lunar March 2 was chosen to be the traditional day of the industry.

Aloeswood is a specialty of Khanh Hoa Province. Khanh Hoa Province’s Aloeswood Association was established in 2017 and now has over 100 members, who are the owners of aloeswood businesses. The association’s members have cooperated with each other to introduce, develop aloeswood industry and provide customers quality aloeswood and products made of aloeswood.
