Khanh Hoa commemorates 724th death anniversary of General Tran Quoc Tuan

The commemorative ceremony of the 724th death anniversary of General Tran Quoc Tuan was held at Tran Hung Dao Temple (Nha Trang City) on September 22 (lunar August 20). Present at the ceremony were Dinh Van Thieu - Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports; leaders of Nha Trang City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; representatives of Naval Academy; local people and the Trans in Khanh Hoa.

The ceremony included traditional ritual acts such as praying for prosperity and peace of the nation and its people. The attendees also recalled the biography and great merit of the general to the country. The life and career of Hung Dao Dai Vuong was associated with the resistance wars against Mongol invasions of Dai Viet people in the 13th century. General Tran Quoc Tuan passed away in Van Kiep (Hai Duong Province) on August 20, 1300.
