All the 6 stamp sets of stamp collectors from Khanh Hoa won high awards, bringing unexpected joy to Khanh Hoa stamp collectors. "My stamp collection displayed at this exhibition has the theme 'For the independence and freedom of the nation', consisting of nearly 480 stamps and other items. I have been collecting this set for over 10 years, with the oldest stamp in the collection issued in 1945 and the most recent one in 2023, depicting the country's formation, from the legend of Lac Long Quan - Au Co to the liberation of the South and national reunification. I feel very happy and proud of winning awards at the exhibition as this is not only an international-scale award but also the first time the exhibition has been held in Vietnam, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital," said stamp collector Nguy Nhu Anh.

The good results of Khanh Hoa young stamp collectors are partly thanks to efforts of the Provincial Stamp Association in building up stamp collecting movement in schools. I have been collecting the stamp collection “Uncle Ho lives forever with the country” for nearly 7 years, hoping to introduce the image of the beloved leader of Vietnam to people worldwide. I organized the collection into smaller themes based on different periods throughout the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh. This is the first time I have won an award in an international stamp contest. I am very grateful to the members of the Provincial Stamp Association for encouraging, guiding and nurturing a love of stamp collecting in me,” said Nguyen Hue Nhuong Huyen, tenth-grade pupil at Ly Tu Trong High School. For Thanh Xuan, ninth-grade pupil at Au Co Junior High School, stamp collecting helps her gain a wealth of knowledge and an understanding of the world around. It is also joyful activity in her leisure time.

According to Dong Luong Son, the Five Nations Stamp Exhibition-Vietnam 2024 is an important event for stamp collectors in 5 countries in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong (China). The exhibition originated as a stamp exhibition of four countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand—first held in 2011. In 2023, Vietnam Stamp Association was admitted as the fifth member, and this year marked the first time Vietnam has hosted the event. It is challenging to win an award at this exhibition. Therefore, the achievements of the Provincial Stamp Association members at this year’s exhibition brought great joy to the association as well as to stamp collectors in Khanh Hoa. With this encouraging result, the Provincial Stamp Association will continue to vigorously promote the stamp collecting movement in schools, thereby spreading the passion and love for stamp collecting among pupils throughout the province.

The wards of Khanh Hoa stamp collectors at the Five Nations Stamp Exhibition-Vietnam 2024 included the Gold medal of collector Le To Uyen; Vermeil medal of collector Nguy Nhu Anh; Grand Silver medal of collector Tran Thi Nhu Trang. In youth’s category, Nguyen Hue Nhuong Huyen was awarded Large Vermeil medal; Nguyen Ngoc Hai Thi was presented Vermeil medal; Nguyen Ngoc Thanh Xuan won Grand Silver medal.
