People's Public Security Radio and Television Festival 2024 opens

The Ministry of Public Security in association with Vietnam Television organized the opening ceremony of the 14th People's Public Security Radio and Television Festival at Do Theater (Nha Trang City) on October 20. Present at the ceremony were Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Public Security; Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Do Duc Hoang - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television; Dinh Van Thieu - Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Major General Do Trieu Phong - Director of the Information and Communications Department, Head of the organizing committee; and the representatives of some central and local ministries and sectors.

On behalf of the leadership of Khanh Hoa Province, Dinh Van Thieu stated that it was an honor for Khanh Hoa Province to be chosen as the venue for the 14th People's Public Security Radio and Television Festival. Through the festival, Khanh Hoa Province hopes to receive greater attention from reporters, editors in television, radio, cinema, and media agencies in producing more works that promote Khanh Hoa's culture, people, and tourism potential.

The opening ceremony included the pressing button to open the festival, giving flowers to the jury, presenting commemorative plaques to the representatives of the participating delegations. The opening ceremony also featured the performances of many Vietnamese singers and puppeteers from Do Theater.

The festival brought together nearly 600 entrants, who are officers, reporters, editors, and hosts from 75 delegations from the People's Public Security force and other organizations and units. The festival has received over 760 entries in 7 categories. The organizing committee will select the most outstanding works to give gold and silver prizes, and certificates of merit in each category. The festival will conclude with a closing ceremony and award ceremony on October 23 at Do Theater.
