Numerous cultural programs to take place on Lunar New Year 2025 occasion

The series of the 2025 Lunar New Year cultural programs mostly taking place from January 20 to February 3 (lunar December 21, 2024 to lunar January 6, 2025) promise to bring local people and tourists in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa joyful and exciting experience on the occasion of Tet.

Diverse cultural activities during Tet

According to the place of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, more than 20 activities and groups of activities take place from lunar December 21, 2024 to lunar January 6, 2025, such as Spring Newspaper Festival jointly organized by the Provincial Library and the Provincial Journalists’ Association (opening on January 20); themed exhibition about the spring and a bonsai display at Provincial Museum on January 22; mobile film screening program in remote areas of the province by the Provincial Cultural-Cinema Center from January 26 to February 23; a photo exhibition at the coastal park near Tram Huong Tower and a Tet stall displaying typical products and artifacts of Khanh Hoa at the coastal park opposite to Novotel Nha Trang also on  January 27.

The Provincial Cultural-Cinema Center and Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe organize night music programs at 2-4 Square (Nha Trang City) from January 22 to January 27. The special music program on Lunar New Year’s Eve starts at 9:30pm to midnight on January 28, ending with 15-minute low-altitude fireworks. The Provincial Traditional Arts Theater, Provincial Cultural-Cinema Center and Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe organize music programs at 2-4 Square from January 29 to February 3.

Improving quality of Tet programs

The artists of art units in the province are actively practicing for the Tet programs. Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe has prepared a repertoire of 200 music pieces and paid attention to decoration, props, projections, costumes, etc. in order to ensure the quality of their performances. Besides the programs at 2-4 Square, the troupe will perform at mountainous areas of Khanh Son District and Khanh Vinh District, Ninh Hoa Town.

Low-altitude fireworks will be set off on Lunar New Year’s Eve

The Provincial Traditional Arts Theater, like Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe, besides the programs at 2-4 Square, will organize music programs in Cam Lam District, Dien Khanh District and Ponagar Temple. In addition to some plays and excerpts staged last year, the theater will also perform newly staged plays, excerpts and Bai Choi performances.

According to Le Van Hoa, deputy director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the early issuance of Tet plan has helped the cultural sector to be proactive in preparing for Tet programs in order to provide performances with good quality to local people and tourists on Lunar New Year occasion.
