The 42nd National Television Festival ended with its closing ceremony held in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province) on March 22 night. Present at the ceremony were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; leaders of some ministries, departments, sectors and central agencies; and many journalists and television workers nationwide.

The festival, opening on March 19, included activities such as seminar on skills of television journalists in digital environment; application of technology in digital transformation at television stations; introduction of audience measurement system using VTV Ratings; and exhibitions on advanced television technologies.The 2025 festival attracted 734 entries for 11 categories from 100 press agencies. The organizers presented 54 gold prizes, 98 silver prizes, 223 consolation prizes and 3 individual prizes.
Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station won 2 silver prizes (short report, ethnic language television program) and 1 consolation prize (report).
