The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently issued the organization plan of the 6th Cham ethnic group cultural festival in Khanh Hoa Province. Accordingly, the festival takes place at 16-4 Square (Phan Rang Ward and Dong Hai Ward ) from October 17 to 19, featuring nearly 600 Cham artisans, actors, and players from 6 provinces and cities ofKhanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The 6th Cham ethnic group cultural festival, themed “Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Cham ethnic group in the new era,” will feature a diverse range of activities, including opening ceremony for the cultural, sports, and tourism activities at 7am on October 17; official opening ceremony of the festival at 8pm on October 17 (broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV8 and simulcast on the provincial and city-level newspapers and radio-stations of the participating localities); closing ceremony at 8pm on October 19. Other activities include public music festival; traditional Cham costume show; performances of excerpts from Cham traditional festivals and cultural rituals; an exhibition on traditional Cham culture; introduction of traditional Cham traditional crafts (brocade weaving, pottery making); Cham sports and folk games; photo exhibition on Cham people; workshop on “Promoting the value of Cham cultural heritages in tourism development”; etc.
