Recently, Khanh Vinh Commune and Tay Ninh Hoa Commune launched folk culture clubs and traditional music groups. The members of these clubs and groups share an interest in culture and music and play the key role in preserving and promoting the traditional culture of ethnic minorities in their localities.
Preserving ethnic cultural identity
The launching ceremony for the 3 folk culture clubs in Khanh Vinh Commune was held at Khanh Vinh Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, aiming to send a message about the importance of preserving and promoting the beauty and cultural value of ethnic minorities to the young generation. The songs and dance performances during the ceremony showed the love and sense of responsibility each member of the clubs and teams has for their ethnic traditions. The sounds of traditional musical instruments such as lithophone and ma la combined with folk dances and unique traditional songs vividly showcased the culture of the ethnic minority people in Khanh Vinh Commune. "Seeing the performances makes me appreciate my ethnic traditions even more. I hope to see more programs like this,” said Nie H'Cao Thanh Thuy, a 6th-grade pupil at Khanh Vinh Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

For Tay Ninh Hoa Commune, the launch of 4 folk culture clubs in 4 hamlets is facilitated by the fact that these clubs are essentially built upon 4 existing folk culture clubs previously established by former Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee in November 2024. The clubs’ activities will contribute actively to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural value of the E De and the Raglai in the commune. Currently, each club has 20 members who will organize cultural and music activities, teach folk songs, folk dances, traditional musical instruments, and local customs. Additionally, the club members will represent the locality in music festivals and competitions at various levels. "Many members in our club have spent a long time practicing together. We will continue to maintain solidarity, actively participate and promote our role in preserving and spreading the ethnic cultural identity to contribute to the cultural and tourism development of the commune," said Cao Thi Nu, head of a folk culture club in Tay Ninh Hoa Commune.
Spreading traditional cultural value
The establishment of folk culture clubs and traditional music groups of E De and Raglai ethnic groups in Khanh Vinh and Tay Ninh Hoa Communes is an activity implemented under the project on preserving and promoting the traditional cultural value of ethnic minorities in alignment with tourism development. Each club member will serve as a key figure in boosting local cultural and music movement and facilitating the development of other club models in the future.
