Relaxing with "flower buffet" concept

H.N

The "flower buffet" is located within Pom Coffee (27 Chu Van An Street, Nha Trang Ward). The space is simply decorated with a long table overflowing with fresh flowers. People attending "flower buffet" aren't restricted by traditional flower arranging techniques. Instead, they are free to pick their favorite flowers and arrange them based on personal style or their own feelings.

The fee for the "flower buffet" is VND39,000 per person. Each person can choose up to 15 flowers, including wrapping paper and ribbons to complete their bouquet to take home. The flowers are mostly seasonal to ensure freshness of the flowers and provide a variety of experiences for the flower arrangers. During the year-end season, popular flowers often include lilies, roses, gerberas, and statice.

Sharing her idea for the "flower buffet", Le Thi Thanh Hieu, the owner of the "flower buffet", said: "I want to create a simple activity that anyone can join. Attending the flower buffet", participants, especially young people, can put down their phones and enjoy doing something slowly and mindfully. With the affordable cost, students can pick their favorite flowers, arrange them and take home their own bouquet of flowers."

According to Hieu, the visitors to the “flower buffet” are quite diverse, consisting mainly of students, office workers and young couples. Some families bring their children to the place on weekends to introduce their children to flowers and enjoy gentle crafting activities.

To Anh Dao (29, South Nha Trang Ward) and her husband live busy lives with little quality time together. Occasionally visiting the "flower buffet" allows them to step away from work, spend time together to connect and engage in meaningful conversations within a quiet space.

Besides the "flower buffet", Thanh Hieu also holds themed floral workshops, guiding participants through basic techniques, bouquet color combinations and shaping. Attending one of these workshops, Ho Thi Thuy Ngan (from Dak Lak Province) used to do flower arrangement by instinct. Attending the workshop of Hieu helps her know how to select flowers, balance a flower bouquet and combine colors more beautifully.

The "flower buffet" and floral workshops offer a new way for people in Nha Trang, especially young people, to spend their free time. It also reflects a growing interest in activities that help people relax and have mental balance in daily life.
