On a boat from Da Bac Port one day, we traveled to Binh Ba Island (in Cam Binh Commune, Cam Ranh District), which is famous for lobsters, specialty of Khanh Hoa Province.
On one-hour boat trip on sea, we had a chance to contemplate beautiful landscape of blue sea, huge sky, scattered islands and the scene of floating boats or fishermen dropping net. When our boat came near Binh Ba Island, we saw a lot of lobster rafts close together.

Binh Ba is really an island of lobsters. Cam Binh Commune has four hamlets, three of which belong to Binh Ba. The whole commune features 4,500 lobster cages, mainly in Binh Ba.

At weekends, the residents here have got familiar to groups of tourists coming here by boat, swimming by beaches, walking on winding roads of the island, eating and drinking funnily by lobster rafts.
Le Quynh Son, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said, “I have chosen Binh Ba Island as a destination for its beautiful beach and nice but cheap seafood.”
“I’ve traveled to many places but I like the difference of Binh Ba. The beach is not crowded. I also feel exciting when living with plain fishers and enjoying fresh lobsters by their cages”, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Duc, another tourist from Ho Chi Minh City said after swimming at Nom beach of the island.
