Khanh Hoa Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just developed 2010 tourism promotion campaign “Vietnam - Your destination” in the province. This campaign has been launched nationwide by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The 2010 tourism promotion campaign “Vietnam - Your destination” aims to create an image of an attractive destination for Vietnam, attracting both local and foreign travelers in 2010. The campaign’s primary objective is to attract both high spenders and visitors who plan to stay in Vietnam for a long time.
The national tourism promotion campaign this year will have a strong focus on shopping. There will be a sale program which will offer the domestic and international tourists chance to buy goods at 10-50% discounted prices during the slack season in August and September in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
Additionally, the National Tourism Administration and businesses will promote advertising Vietnam’s image in main markets such as China, East North Asia, ASEAN, Russia, France, West Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. to attract foreign tourists. The image of a beautiful and friendly country has been built up.

The campaign also sees overseas Vietnamese residents as an important force in promoting the country’s tourism. Overseas Vietnamese will be encouraged to come back to their home country and advertise Vietnam’s image to other foreign tourists.
Tourists can not only save their pockets but also enjoy the country’s unforgettable hospitality in accordance with the new slogan “Friendly Welcome to Vietnam” and the movement “Smile at tourists”.
Furthermore, the campaign will facilitate FAMTRIP international delegations of travel agents and press who major in tourism in an effort to bring an attractive image of Vietnam to the international market.
In Khanh Hoa Province, the provincial Department of Culture Sports and Tourism has worked with hotels, supermarkets, shops, service providers of tourism, transportation and tourism-related to appeal to their participation. For example, Yasaka-Saigon-Nhatrang Hotel has offered a promotion program till November or Vinpearl Land is going to have a very big promotion to attract more tourists. It’s possible to say that business in the province will associate closely in implementing the campaign to absorb more and more tourists to Vietnam as well as Khanh Hoa Province.
