Held by Thien Cat Lam Communication & Printing Company, Nha Trang Cuisine Cooking Contest was held at Cay Me Phu An Restaurant on 2-4 Street, Nha Trang City on June 21. The culinary event was a playground for young cooks to meet and share experience. It also inspired tourists to explore tourism potentials of Nha Trang Beach City.

The contest started at 17:00 but 12 participants were present at 15:00 to make preparations including fruit and vegetable carving. Just after a short time, 12 contestants’ dishes were show-cased painting a lively colorful culinary picture of Nha Trang cuisine. A quiz contest about fruits and vegetables added a cheerful environment to the event.
The contest was the brainchild of Thien Cat Lam Communication & Printing Company. This was the first time the contest had been held in Nha Trang attracting many young chefs. A contestant named Cook Nguyen Xuan Nhat, Cam Lam, said, “I’m very happy and eager to join the contest which helps me to assess my skill. It is also a great chance for us to exchange experience.”
Lam Minh Loi, a member of the organizing board, said, “Nha Trang is a tourist destination and such a culinary event promises to add more attraction to the city. The contest is committed to the discovery and promotion of new talents. We hope that the event will be also an opportunity for restaurants to promote their trademarks to better satisfy customers’ appetite.”
