Cam Ranh Port (Khanh Hoa) is an international commercial port located in Cam Ranh Bay which boasts favorable national conditions for developing a seaport.

The trade between Khanh Hoa and its neighboring provinces has much expanded, especially since Vietnam’s integration into the international economics. Cam Ranh Port has played a more and more important role in the local socio-economic growth forming a key strategic link in the central region and the highland.
With a 182mwharf, Cam Ranh Port is able to receive 30,000 DWT vessels with a cargo tonnage of 1.2 million tons/year. Of the cargos handed, imports and exports have accounted for over 50%. The turnover and profit has increased by 20%/year. The employees’ living standard has much improved. Social security and safety have been assured.
In spite of great achievements in business, the development of Cam Ranh port is still not commensurate with its great position and potentials. It has not met the expectations for promotion of regional and local socio-economic growth. Therefore, the resolution adopted by the 9th Party Congress of Cam Ranh Port (2010 - 2015) said that Cam Ranh Port would become an important seaport service center, meeting the requirement of the socio-economic development of the southern central region. Cam Ranh Port is expected to handle 50.000 DWT vessels with a cargo tonnage of over 3 million tons/ year by 2015.
The port in cooperation with Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VINALINES) is investing in the construction of a wharf for 50.000 DWT vessels, improvement of existing infrastructures and equipment. Moreover, Cam Ranh Port has gradually applied the ISO quality standard in management, focusing on labor force training.
