Despite a lot difficulties such as increase in materials’ prices and USD/VND exchange rate and lack of electricity during 2010, Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) has kept a stable growth rate.
In the period of 2005 – 2010, Khatoco averagely showed a 4.3%/year increase industrial production value, 8.9%/year in turnover, 7.5%/year in interest and 13.8%/year in delivery to the Treasure..
Particularly in 2010, the business’s industrial production value reached VND3,200 billion, rising by 7.8% over 2009; its turnover was VND6,300 billion, 15% up; export turnover: USD16.5 million and delivery to the Treasure: VND2,240 billion, 13% up.
2010 is the first year Khatoco Commercial Limited Company, a member of the corporation, won Vietnamese Golden Star Award and two trademarks of Khatoco Textile Garment and Khatoco Ostrich ranked the 11th in top 100 businesses of this award.

The global financial crisis has deprived ship building industry of a large number of contracts due to the sharp decrease in maritime transport demand. Like other shipbuilders, Hyundai Vinashin has been full of hardships. However, with formed strategies, the business has still advanced firmly in the open sea.
In 2010, Hyundai Vinashin has built 7 new ships, launched 7 and exported 5 (four 56,000DWT ships to Germany and one 37,000DWT ship to Denmark). The firm also has repaired about 30 other foreign ships.

In 2010, the company has exceeded all its targets. Its total turnover reached VND1,170 billion, increasing by 177% compared to 2009; salangane nest production: 3,120 kilograms; total sale: 2,802 kilograms; delivery to the Treasure: VND180 billion, a 239% rise over 2009.
Additionally, the company succeeded in applying scientific researches to expand the salangane population on islands as well as form artificial caves and islands for the birds, which is very significant to protect the ecological environment, preserve and develop the birds.
Also in 2010, Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company was granted the Second-class Medal of Labor by the President and many awards such as National Strong Trademark and International Creative Award.
