Providing employment assistance is very essential to assure local residents’ living standard and promote socio-economic growth. Therefore, Ninh Hoa Town has focused on providing vocational training and employment opportunities. Thousands of people are provided vocational training and job search assistance every year.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Chief of the Ninh Hoa Town’s Bureau of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs said, “The Bureau of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs in association with Ninh Hoa Vocational High School, companies and enterprises in the community has opened short-term courses in such fields as farming, industrial sewing, tourism, civil electricity, etc. In 2010, 4,975 were recruited to vocational classes, including short-term classes (1,560 people) and long-term ones (500 people).

The Bureau of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs in cooperation with organizations has mobilized farmers in remote areas and ethic minority people in mountainous areas to develop household business, including rattan weaving. Thousands of workers, especially women, have been provided job opportunities to take good advantage of their free time after harvest.

In addition, the National Job Creation Fund has offered financial support to Ninh Hoa Town. Job fairs have been held for employers and recruiters to meet with prospective job seekers. It has provided a convenient location for local residents to meet employers and perform first interviews. Hundreds of companies and enterprises inside and outside Khanh Hoa Province have joined the job fairs.

Besides, labor export is also identified as one of the major solutions for reducing the unemployment rate, helping to increase workers’ income. Most people have chosen to work in Japan, Korea and Malaysia. The vocational training scheme for rural laborers till 2020 in Ninh Hoa Town has been carried out.

In general, job creation task in Ninh Hoa has gained great results contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development. To increase the effectiveness of the job creation effort, detailed plans must be made and more propaganda for labor export is required.
