The city is making preparations for this event.
2011 Sea Festival in Nha Trang will last five days from June 11 to 15. It will be 2 days shorter than the previous one. However, quality and scale of the festival this year promises to be improved much. About 50 activities during the festival will take place in three spots in Khanh Hoa Province, including Tran Phu Street (Nha Trang City), Bai Dai (Cam Lam District) and Doc Let (Ninh Hoa District). Especially, there will be a day called “Spratly Day” within the festival to express sentiments of the land towards the island. Seminar, movie, photo exhibition and music show will be held during the day.

Preparations for 2011 Sea Festival have been done for over one month. The management board and related organizations are teaming up to work on the event. The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is promptly carrying out tasks such as propagandizing, scripting, designing stages, developing activities, appealing to hotels’ participation and calling sponsorship. The Department of Information and Communications has held press conferences in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa and updating Sea Festival website. The Department of Industry and Trade is commissioned to stabilize prices, especially room price and organize a fair of high-quality Vietnamese products. Other organizations, including the Transport Department, the Health Department, the Finance Department, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Police, Khanh Hoa Television and Radio, Khanh Hoa Newspaper, the Youth Union and Nha Trang People’s Committee have been entrusted with different tasks.
A large number of volunteers for the festival have been recruited from Nha Trang College of Culture, Arts and Tourism and Nha Trang Teachers’ College.
Hotels in Tran Phu Street, namely Sunrise, Yasaka-Saigon-Nhatrang, Sheraton, Lodge, Novotel, Hai Yen and The Light are preparing their cuisine programs for the festival.
Many businesses such as XQ Nha Trang Joint Stock Company, Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company and Saigon Beverage Joint Stock Company also will join the festival. And, some businesses, including Ha Quang Land Joint Stock Company, Michelia Hotel and Nha Trang Island Tourism Joint Stock Company have agreed to sponsor the event.
With a careful investment, 2011 Nha Trang Sea Festival is expected to be very attractive and impressive, bringing tourists a satisfactory vacation in Nha Trang.
