At the 2011 Sea Festival themed “Nha Trang - Rendezvous”, local residents and tourists will have a chance to enjoy magnificent cultural and art activities. Particularly, they will benefit from a motorized kite service and free passenger transport by electric cars, an environmentally friendly means of transport provided by Mai Linh Corporation, Southern Central Region & Highlands Branch.

Specifically, motorized kites will stunt on Nha Trang beach at the Salangane Nest Product Showroom on Pham Van Dong Street between June 12 and 15. Motorized kite service will be available for adventure lovers who want to enjoy the panorama of Nha Trang Bay from 150-200m high above.
A tourist named Mai Trang, from Ho Chi Minh City, said, “This is an adventure sport but I feel it secure and interesting.” “I feel like a bird flying high into the sky. I have great photos of Nha Trang City,” added Thuy Cam, a visitor from Hanoi. The 2-seat kites weighing 216kg are able to carry up to 400kg with an average speed of 45km/h. It costs VND850,000/15 minutes.
Electric cars, an environmentally friendly means of transport, will join the street parade. |
Electric cars will appear in the street parade organized by Khanh Hoa Tourism Association. In the time to come, more electric cars are expected to be put into service when given approval from the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.
Ho Minh Chau, General Director of Mai Linh Corporation, Southern Central Region & Highlands Branch, says sponsoring the festival is the pride and responsibility of enterprises operating in Nha Trang City. The corporation spends part of its fund to sponsor local festivals and charity activities annually. The expenditure for the event this year is expected to reach VND350 million.
Hopefully, the new products of Mai Linh Corporation, Southern Central Region & Highlands Branch, will help to assure the success of the Sea Festival 2011 and add more attraction to Khanh Hoa tourism.
