With a series of interesting activities, 2011 Nha Trang Sea Festival, June 11 – 15, is estimated to welcome 100,000 tourists.
The five-day festival is planned to include activities of culture, tourism and sports such as fish prayer festival, cyclo parade, red wine festival, flower garlands and coloured lanterns on Cai River, Cham Sculpture Exhibition, cuisine contest, salangane nest festival and street carnaval. The Sea Festival is expected to attract a large number of tourists to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.

Some activities before the festival during the past days have drew tourists’ attention. Especially, salangane nest festival with the birds’ exhibition makes tourists discover the famous specialty of the coastal province. Additionally, tourists have a chance to see birds’ cliffs created on Nha Trang beach and witness nest cleaning process.
On this occasion, XQ Nha Trang Embroidery Gallery has displayed its unique pictures and held a lot of other cultural activities. On June 6, 800 cruise tourists visited the gallery and admired hand embroidery pictures here very much. Sports events such as a jet ski tournament and a beach sepak takraw competition has made tourists exciting.
2011 Sea Festival in Nha Trang is forecast to welcome about 100,000 tourists. Room occupation in the city during the time will come to 80%. Until now, may hotels have been booked fully.
To prevent unreasonable increase of room price during the festival, the provincial People’s Committee has promulgated a decision to stabilize the price. Accordingly, from June 1 to 17, hotel room prices are not allowed to rise by over 50%. All the hotels have to show price list to guests. Moreover, an inspection will strictly control hotels during the festival.
