Uzbekistan’s FAM TRIP took place in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa on August 24-26. The trip, which was free of charge, was designed to conduct a tourism survey before bringing travelers directly from Uzbekistan to Cam Ranh Airport. FAM TRIP is known as a free tour offered to travel agents by a supplier or group of suppliers to familiarize the agents with their destination and services. Here is a Khanh Hoa Newspaper interview with Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Center for Tourism Promotion Information.

Could you please tell me about the schedule of the Uzbekistan’s FAM TRIP?

The FAM TRIP included 6 representatives from big tour operators in Uzbekistan. They took photos and videoed of tourist attractions and hotels in Nha Trang City. Accordingly, a survey was conducted at Thap Ba Hot Spring Center, Diamond bay Nha Trang, Eco Green Resort, Vinpearl Land, Ana Mandara, Sheraton Hotel, Novetel Hotel, Sunrise Hoetl, Vien Dong Hotel, Asia Paradise Hotel, etc.

What is the role of FAM TRIP in attracting foreign visitors to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa?

The FAM TRIP plays an important role as it is considered the most effective tourism promotion. Its members will choose products and services from their own experience to design tours. Tour operators will make brochures to introduce about Vietnam in general and Khanh Hoa in particular and take visitors to our nation. Uzbekistan’s tour operators interest in Khanh Hoa’s Tourism is a delighted signal. The increasing number of tourists from Uzbekistan, Russia, Ucraina and so on promises a potential tourist market from Eastern Europe.

Could you please tell me more clearly about the idea of bringing tourists to Khanh Hoa?
