Nha Trang has just opened a paintball shooting club on the beach at 9C Tran Phu Street. It is expected to become an interesting entertainment places for the local youth as well as tourists when coming to the beautiful beach city.
“I have played paintball for many times before but I still feel exciting every time when joining this game. It helps me reduce stress after work. I’m very happy when Nha Trang has a paintball club in the center of the city. My group surely will come here frequently”, said Nguyen Minh Hung, a cook at a big restaurant in the city.
Paintball is a game in which players compete, in teams or individually, to eliminate opponents by tagging them with capsules containing food coloring and gelatin (referred to as paintballs) propelled from a device called a paintball marker (commonly referred to as a paintball gun).
Nha Trang Paintball Club has three grounds with an area of 2,000 sq. m. Its competition terrain is created by obstacles and covers such as oil drums, planks and tires. Many games can be simulated here, including flag capture, direct combat, hostage rescue, bomb removal and fort assault. The games are overseen by referees, who patrol the course to ensure enforcement of the rules and the safety of the players.
“Nha Trang Paintball Club project has been approved by High Command of Military Zone V according to Decision No. 543/QD-BTL dated April 18, 2011. Despite the small area, its playgrounds satisfy professional and safe standards. Its operation is under the control of the authority. Located on the sand-bank by Nha Trang Sea, the club has an ideal terrain for games. Right on the opening time, it has attracted a large number of players, many of whom are foreign tourists. In the near future, the club will open more playgrounds in different places in the cities”, said Manager of the paintball club Le Trung Hieu.
