Beside sharp increase in quantity of tourists and rooms, Khanh Hoa Province has more and more high-class services for tourists.
In recent years, Khanh Hoa has promoted luxury tourist products. Accordingly, the number of 3-5 star hotels to serve high-spenders shows a gradual rise.
According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Khanh Hoa has 13,000 rooms, including over 3,800 ones ranked 3 stars and over. High-class hotels and resorts have raised service quality, diversify tourist products and increased tourism turnover of the province.

“With many hotels and resorts in progress and to start operation in 2012, room structure in Khanh Hoa Province will have a change in the coming time. In the long term, the province will focus on high spenders”, said Phan Thanh Truc, chief of Tourism Resource Development – Planning Bureau (under Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
Statistics show that the number of tourists from developed countries like America, Australia, Germany and Russia has risen deeply in recent years, which proves the province’s attraction to high spenders, she added.
Especially, a large number of Russian tourists have chosen Khanh Hoa as a destination. Khanh Hoa received nearly 20,000 Russian tourists in 2009 and the figure was 29,600 in 2010. In 10 months of 2011, there were 27,000 arrivals from Russia. In this winter, with one flight per day from October 31, 2011 till end April, 2012, Pegas Touristik travel firm will bring thousands of Russian tourists to the province. Most of them have booked a long stay, from 10 days to 2 weeks, at 3-5 star hotels in Khanh Hoa.
Beside foreigners, luxury hotels and resorts have welcomed more and more Vietnamese guests. 40% of guests in 3-5 star hotels are Vietnamese, said Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Center. For instance, in Evason Ana Mandara, an expensive resort, the rate of Vietnamese guests has gone up to 12% this year from 4-5% in previous years. Especially, famous 5-star resort Vinpearl has a rate of 70%.
“The increase in Vietnamese guest rate in luxury hotels has confirmed good quality of Nha Trang tourism. Many rich Vietnamese people have chosen Nha Trang for their vacation instead of going abroad”, said Truc.
