Checkpoint Bar & Restaurant, located at 27 Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, Nha Trang, is a Russian space in the heart of Nha Trang beach city.
Seen from outside, the restaurant looks like an army base with camouflaged combat walls. The interior décor is full of photos of Soviet military scenes, military flags and Soviet has & greatcoats. All reminds a powerful Soviet in the patriotic war.
Checkpoint has European, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese cuisines, always cold beer and real Russian vodka. There are a lot of Russian dishes such as sasluc, grilled lamb, Russian salad and Borsch. All of them are cooked by a Russian chief.

“I came to Nha Trang for the first time 4 years ago and liked this city very much. The Western Street of Nha Trang then had restaurants of French, Italian and some others but Russian. So, I opened Checkpoint for those who love Russian cuisine and Russian culture”, said Anton Novoselov, 33, formerly a Russian naval soldier.
Up to now, Checkpoint has become a favorite destination of Russian cuisine lovers, most of whom are Russian tourists, Russian people working in Khanh Hoa Province and some Vietnamese people. They like Russian food and Russian atmosphere here.
On international tourism forums, many tourists showed good comments on Checkpoint Bar & Restaurant. “Good restaurant, night bar and - military museum with real old black&white photos devoted to Pacific fleet USSR. Old soviet uniform and the weapon for photographing of visitors”, a tourist expressed on www.tripadvisor.com.
Actually, such a Russian restaurant has created a Rurrian corner in Nha Trang, diversifying tourism in the beach city.
