A countdown party with special sound, light effects and fireworks will be held in Nha Trang on New Year Eve, pledged Doan Viet Advertising And Communication Equipment Company Limited and Heineken Trademark.
Every year, millions of people all over the world come to squares and centers of big cities to see off last minutes of the old year and welcome New Year. In Vietnam, the first countdown party was held in Ho Chi Minh City in 2010 with about 40,000 participants. Then, in 2011, another took place in Hanoi. In 2012, the event will be organize in Nha Trang for the first time linking with Ho Chi Minh City through television bridge.
“The countdown party will come to Nha Trang for it’s a tourist city with a rapid growth rate. The authorities and people of the city are striving to build an eventful city. The countdown party on New Year Eve 2012 is expected to be a meaningful event to the residents as well as tourists’, said Doan Van Dat, from Doan Viet Advertising And Communication Equipment Company Limited.

The event will occupy all the area of 2-4 Square. The stage, set up in front of the square, has shape of a five-pointed star with 21m in diameter. It consists of three layers. The first one is for Vietnamese singers and dancers, the second for foreign dancers and the third for a big screen.
For best sound and light effects, the stage will equipped with lazer lights, led lights, led screens and the most modern audio system. Some 200-inch screens will also be installed outside the stage area for those who cannot penetrate into the center.
The event will start on 8 pm with the music by DJ Liviu Hodor. From 9:30 pm to 11:45 pm will be the time for musical performances of Vietnamese as well as international singers and dancers such as Minh Thu, Ha Anh Tuan, X5 band, Mona, Danielle Xavier, Christina Fuentes and many others.
From 11:45 pm to 0:10 am, a televison bridge linking Nha Trang with Ho Chi Minh City will be broadcast live. 10 last seconds of 2011 will be counted down and fireworks with a background music of Happy New Year song will end the party.
The event is expected to leave deep impressions on Nha Trang residents as well as tourists on New Year Eve.
