Vietnam Sturgeon Corporation plans to expand its market to Nha Trang City. Globally, sturgeon is of great value as a source for caviar but also for its meat.
Caviar, sometimes called black caviar, is a luxury delicacy, consisting of processed, salted and non-fertilized sturgeon roe. Caviar is commercially marketed worldwide as a delicacy.
At the international sturgeon conference held by Sturgeon Conservation Society WSCS in Poland in November, 2011, the Vietnam Sturgeon Corporation’s sturgeon agriculture was highly appreciated. The WSCS is making effort in fish conservation and cultivation including sturgeons.
In 2 years, Vietnam Sturgeon Corporation is expected to produce 5,000 tons/ year of flesh of sturgeon and 1,000 tons/ year of caviar. Caviar reaches prices between USA1,000 and USA10,000 per kilo.

In recent years, in big local markets such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, there has been an increasing demand for sturgeon food. Vietnam Sturgeon Corporation has expanded its supply and market in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, a famous tourist destination in 2012.
