Many shops and supermarkets have a big end-of-year clearance sale going on now through the lunar New Year 2012. Sales promotion is offered to draw customers.
Big discount is given at supermarkets in Nha Trang City and Cam Ranh City. Doan Thi Tho, Director of Maximark Nha Trang said, "Customers are offered gift vouchers and 5-30% discount vouchers on many kinds of frozen products for every purchase worth VND500,000 or more."
Shoppers at Co.opMart Cam Ranh can receive a 5-45% discount on garments, children's toys, food and household appliances. Citimark Nha Trang also offers discount on many necessaries for Tet Holiday and lucky draw tickets to win valuable prizes, including iphones 4, 32-inch LCD televisions, canon cameras and many more for every purchase worth VND300,000 with a Visa card.
Shoppers can have 5-40% off technology products, fresh food, garments and household appliances at Metro Cash & Carry Nha Trang.
Electrical and mechanical shops, including TH Nha Trang Company, Viettel Nha Trang Shop and Dai Thanh Electrical & Mechanical Supermarket have launched promotion programs with various gifts such as beer and mobile cards offered to shoppers.
Many other electrical and mechanical centers named Chanh Bon, Dang Gia, Tan Vien Thong and so on also have special offer in the run-up to the Lunar New Year 2012.
Vietnam- France Fashion Shop on 2-4 Street, Nha Trang City, is considered to offer the biggest end-of-year deal. A T-shirt costs VND29,000 for women and VND69-89,000 for men. Blue Exchange and Ninomaxx clothing products are selling at a steep discount, 40% and 15% respectively.
End-of-year sales are crucial for many retailers who are eager to offload excess stock to be ready for the new season.
