Overcoming a lot of difficulties, Khanh Hoa Province grew well 2011.
Industrial production value of Khanh Hoa Province till end November, 2011 was VND16,648 billion, increasing by 17.1% over 2010.
Getting VND5,597 billion, the FDI sector saw the sharpest increase with 36%. Most enterprises in this sector showed high and stable growth rates. For example, Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Co., Ltd. rose by 52%, Sakura Food Co., Ltd.: 69%, Hon Thi Stone Exploiting Joint Venture Company: 80%, Cat Phu Joint Venture Company: 56%, Tausho Vietnam Co., Ltd.: 13% and Plus Co., Ltd.: 58%.
Local State-own sector achieved VND4,196 billion in industrial production value, a 20% rise over 2010. Some typical businesses in this sector were Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company (79% up), Khanh Viet Corporation (13%) and Khanh Hoa Water Supply Sewerage Co., Ltd. (4%). However, there were some businesses decreasing in growth rate, for instance, Khanh Hoa Mineral Water Joint Stock Company (4% down), Khanh Hoa Mineral and Investment Joint Stock Company (8%), Khanh Hoa Seafood Export Co., Ltd. (10%).

Private sector reached only 4% in growth rate of industry with VND6,566 billion. Businesses in this sector met a lot of difficulties due to capital lack, high banking interest rate and quick competition capacity in fluctuation of the economy.
Industrial production value of Central State-own sector in the province attained only VND288 billion, decreasing by 7% over 2010. The main reason was the 21% drop of Cam Ranh Ship Building although some other enterprises had increases in industrial production value such as Mien Trung Hydro Power Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (23%) and Khanh Hoa Electricity Joint Stock Company (6%).
