It’s possible to say that the above results of tourism are worthy as the economy is still in difficulty.
“The good results show travel firms’ efforts firstly. During the year, travel firms forwarded to build up trademarks, advertise tourist products and seek new markets to raise tourist number as well as turnover”, said Truong Dang Tuyen, director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Khanh Hoa paid importance to advertisement for tourism in 2011. Accordingly, the provincial businesses joined international tourism fairs and tourism festival in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Russia. Some travel firms, namely Focus, Nhat Minh and Anh Duong were very active in popularizing Khanh Hoa tourism in Russian and countries in Eastern Europe. As a result, the number of arrivals to the province from Russia saw a sharp rise in 2011.
In the coming time, Khanh Hoa Province will step up advertisement abroad such as Japan, Australia and Russia to attract more foreign tourists to the province.
