With a large amount of goods and good prices, Metro Cash & Carry Nha Trang, opened in mid December, 2011, has become an interesting shopping place in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa...
During the first week of opening, Metro Nha Trang attracted ten thousands of customers. Covering an area of 2 hectares, including 5,600 sq.m. of construction, the supermarket offers about 25,000 food and non-food commodities of all kinds. 95% of the commodities here are made in Vietnam. Additionally, Metro Nha Trang sells local farm products with good quality and clear origin.
In its trading strategy, Metro always asks all suppliers to meet its requirements such as product quality, product label, safety and hygiene. Especially, the modern local transport by big refrigerated lorries is a significant improvement of Metro in Vietnam, ensuring quality and freshness of food.
Metro’s difference from retail other supermarkets is Business to Business model according to demands of companies and businesses. Metro Nha Trang now supplies goods for about 50,000 hotels, restaurants and businesses in Khanh Hoa Province and some neighboring provinces. In addition, its self-service model, in which customers come to buy, pay cash and carry instead of ordering intermediaries, saves much for customers.
“I see that prices of many products such as food, cosmetics and washing things in Metro are lower than those in other retailers. The supermarket often has promotional programs with low prices for big purchase”, said Vu Thi Lien, an grocer in Le Hong Phong Street.
“Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa is a potential market. We chose it as a key market in the Southern Central Coast”, revealed Randy Guttery, general director of Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam.
“The appearance of Metro Cash & Carry Nha Trang diversifies trading in Khanh Hoa Province, supply more abundant goods with better prices for retailers, hotels, restaurants”, said Cao Dinh Phan, deputy director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
