The Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holiday this year will last four days because the two days are following the weekend. Demand of travel surely will rise very sharply on this occasion, raising train and bus ticket prices.

Beside usual trains, 10 ones with 6,000 tickets on Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh City Route will be added on April 27, 28, 30 and May 1. Up to now, berth tickets from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang on April 27 and the opposite direction on May 1 have been sold out. Only seat tickets and some berth tickets on added trains are still available. Prices of berth tickets increase by 8 – 12% over usual but those of seats are unchanged.

To meet the high demand, Southern Nha Trang Coach Station has added more buses and sold tickets in advance for passengers.” Until now, some firms are booked fully and some others have very few tickets.

Prices of buses from April 27 to May 4 showed a rise of 40 – 60%. Specifically, berth ticket of Mai Linh buses increases from VND200,000 to VND250,000, Quang Hanh: from VND200,000 to VND330,000, Cuc Tung: from VND200,000 to VND300,000.

Particularly, Phuong Trang Company, a big carrier, has committed to keep ticket fares on routes from Nha Trang to Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh City unchanged (VND100,000 for a ticket to Da Lat and VND130,000 for a ticket to Ho Chi Minh City). As a result, all tickets of this firm during the time have been sold out.

Order and security also will be noticed at coach and railway stations on this occasion to keep the holiday safe and peaceful.
