Khanh Hoa Province People’s Committee has just submitted the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism a project to organize International Tourism Fair of Vietnam Sea 2013 in Nha Trang. If given permission, the fair is expected to create a big opportunity for domestic tourism businesses to cooperate with international travel firms and attract more tourists to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa in specific and Vietnam in general.

. Breakthrough of Khanh Hoa tourism

According to the project, the fair will take place at Diamond Bay tourist area in Nha Trang from June 6 to 8, 2013, in the framework of Nha Trang Sea festival 2013 with an expenditure of VND15 billion. The fair is planned to have 250 stores, 30% of whom are of foreign tourism promotion organizations and foreign travel firms.

The fair also will arrange travel firms and the press to survey tourist products of Khanh Hoa Province and some other coastal ones and hold a seminar for marine tourism marketing.

Especially, the fair will have an exchange between domestic businesses and foreign ones. Tourism promotion will be attached importance such as introducing potential markets, investment policies and projects calling for investment.

Additionally, the fair will organize a ceremony to grant tourism awards. It is also expected to become a periodical event in the following years.

More and more foreign tourists choose Nha Trang as a destination.

Tourism organizations in Khanh Hoa Province now are very eager with this plan.

“International Tourism Fair of Vietnam Sea 2013 surely will be a good opportunity to advertise tourism of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa and then draw foreign tourists as well as foreign investment. Additionally, the fair will help businesses meet each other to study, exchange and sign business cooperation. The fair also will promote domestic tourism by introducing tourist products and services”, said Truong Dang Tuyen, director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Nguyen Van Thanh, director of the provincial Tourism Promotion – Information Center , said, “Khanh Hoa’s travel firms used to go abroad to join international tourism fair for many times. We always dream of a tourism fair in the province. This will be an opportunity for local businesses to propagandize high-quality tourist products abroad. Famtrip groups to the fair will know about the beauty, culture and tourism of Khanh Hoa Province and Nha Trang Sea Festival.”
