The program named “Bringing Vietnamese-made goods to rural areas” 2012 held by the Center for Industry & Trade Promotion has been launched with the participation of many big businesses in Khanh Hoa Province. A wide variety of goods with special discount are available for shoppers.
The market-days “Bringing Vietnamese-made goods to rural areas” 2012 are held in two locations, Ninh Hai Ward, Ninh Hoa Town (July 25-26) and Cam An Nam Primary School, Cam Lam District (July 28-29).
The market-days are at weekend allowing residents to enjoy more free time for their shopping. The program has attracted some 28 booths from 16 units in Khanh Hoa Province.
Apart from usual enterprises such as Co.opMart Cam Ranh, Citimart Nha Trang, 584 Nha Trang Fisheries, Chin Tuy, Khanh Hoa Mineral Water, the program has also attracted many newcomers, including Khatoco, Me Trang Coffee and Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest. The participating enterprises have been supported in the transportation of goods to the market locations.
"This is the 2nd year the Center for Industry & Trade Promotion has held the program (the program was held by BSA in 2009 and 2010)," said Phan Thi Thu Cuc, Bureau of Trade Management, Department of Trade & Industry.
The event helped stimulate domestic demand and provided chances for producers, traders and local consumers to meet and exchange their interest and information.
The program was also a good opportunity for enterprises and retailers to exchange marketing experience.
"Participating in the Vietnamese product fair, enterprises don't focus much on profit in sales, but its long-term effectiveness," said Nguyen Hong Kien, Vice Director of Violet Trade Production Company.
The event was seen as a kind of effective push to encourage loyalty to domestic products for balanced and sustainable growth of trade.
