Khanh Hoa Province in the first nine months of 2012 produced 35,000 tons of salt, reported the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Salt made by traditional methods is selling VND900 – VND1,000/kg and that by industrial methods is priced VND1,100 – VND1,200/kg.
Recently, some businesses, cooperatives and salt workers have applied new technologies into salt production in order to raise yield as well as quality of salt.
