Industrial production of Khanh Hoa Province in the first nine months of 2012 kept a stable growth rate. Some enterprises broke through owning to investing in new technologies.
. Good growth in many fields
Industrial production in nine months reached over VND14,673 billion, increasing by 9.54% year-on-year. Some enterprises achieved good increases such as Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company (46%), Khanh Hoa Seafood Export Company (47%), Fico Cam Ranh Sand Company (33%), Khanh Hoa Mineral Joint Stock Company (10%) and Taisho Vietnam Limited Company (15%). However, due to difficulties, some enterprises decreased in production value.
Export turnover of the province also saw a sharp increase. Till September, the province had 116 exporters, making an export turnover of USD915.3 million, fulfilling 96.35% of the year’s target and rising by 31.41% year-on-year.
Of the exporters, foreign-invested enterprises had high growth rate. Their export turnover was estimated to be USD508.9 million, a 49.9% rise year-on-year. Some of them were Hyundai VinaShin Shipyard Limited Company (58.91%) and Sodex Toseco Limited Company (64.5%).
Private enterprises also kept a fair growth rate of 14% with USD351 million in production value. Some of them soared such as Hai Long Seafood Limited Company (85%), Dai Thuan Joint Stock Company (75.8%), Hai Vuong Joint Stock Company (45.8%) and Tin Thinh Company (42.7%).
Local State-own enterprises attained an export turnover of USD46.5 million, a 10.14% rise year-on-year.

. Enterprises given supports
Despite general difficulties of the year 2012, enterprises in Khanh Hoa Province has overcome them and operated effectively thanks to timely supports of the provincial People’s Committee. In nine months of 2012, the State revenue of the province was VND6,600 billion (rising by 9% year-on-year), VND3,728 billion of which was from enterprises. Additionally, 800 new enterprises were established with a total registered capital of VND10,395 billion, increasing by 35% year-on-year. So far this year, the provincial People’s Committee and related departments have organized 7 meetings to solve difficulties and obstacles for enterprises. Moreover, the authority continues facilitating enterprises to expand scale and raise capacity.
According to Nguyen Sanh Duong, head of Industry Management Bureau of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, industrial production value targets at VND21,100 billion in the whole year, increasing by 10% over the same period last year. In the last three months of the year, enterprises will be facilitated to promote production as well as improve quality and competition, especially in enterprise with high technology and big increase. High technologies, green technology and material and energy save in production and business will be encouraged. In addition, production technology renovation, vocational training, product advertisement and market expanse will be given priority. The provincial Department of Industry and Trade also will coordinate with other departments to solve administrative formalities for investors more quickly and support enterprises to overcome difficulties to develop production, aiming to exceed the year’s target.
