During the past week, retail egg prices have increased continuously. It has made VND800 – VND1,000 rise.
At present, a hen egg is selling from VND2,500 to VND3,500 while a duck egg is priced from VND3,500 – VND4,00.

The reason is the decrease in supply when the authority are controlling egg smuggling from China and a large number of raisers are in lost.
At supermarkets, the price is VND2,500 – VND3,300/egg, increasing by VND200 – VND400/egg but still 10% lowers than that in markets.
