Due to the decrease in supply in the world, main export markets of Vietnamese shrimps like the US, Europe, Japan, etc. are increasing prawn purchase price, according to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
As a result, shrimp export turnover of Vietnam in the first six months of the year rose by 8.6%, hitting USD1.1 billion.

Especially, with about USD456 million, white-leg shrimps made up 41.3% in the total shrimp export value.
